"A&E Admission with SVT"

My wife was admitted to Treliske by ambulance on 18.10.13 suffering from an " SVT" She had been attended at our hotel in Truro by a paramedic who then called an ambulance . The courtesy and professional behaviour of those attending was very impressive . Her condition had been diagnosed before the ambulance had left the hotel car park. I followed the ambulance to Treliske where my wife had been admitted to A&E and where she was very quickly connected to monitoring equipment to confirm the diagnosis. She was kept very well informed at all times as was I. The department appeared to be very busy with an air ambulance arrival shortly after my wife's admission. This did not seem to impact on the degree of care and attention given. Once again all the nursing staff and doctors involved were very sympathetic and professional. My wife was treated for her abnormally fast heart rate allowed to recuperate and remarkably she was discharged a few hours later. We both felt very re-assured with the treatment and care she received. All of the NHS staff involved were a credit to their profession and in spite of recent negative media coverage of the NHS in general and A&E in particular we were hugely impressed by the care received.
