I just spent almost a month in Helena ward, the staff are second to none. They had never treated someone with my particular disorder before (a severe exacerbation of Tourette Syndrome symptoms) and the entire process was complicated and at times fairly staff intensive (requiring multiple people to transfer me for toileting etc). During my entire stay the staff were professional to the highest degree, friendly, accommodating to my needs and went above and beyond their duty to help - not just me but all of the patients. I can't give them a higher review, honestly these people are not given enough credit or pay, thankyou to the Royal United and all of the staff involved in my care.
