"ACL complete rupture and flipped bucket handle tear"

This year I sustained an injury playing basketball and went to a&e and then referred to fracture urgently next day to see orthopaedic doctor. After this I was sent for emergency MRI scan 2 weeks later which showed I had a complete rupture of my ACL and a 'flipped bucket handle' tear of the medial menscus causing a 'locked knee'. I have been on and off crutches the whole time and have injured my knee twice since and still awaiting what I have been led to believe is an urgent operation that I was told I needed. I have spoken to the PALS team who spoke to colleagues and they said they will out-source me to another hospital as I can't get the operation there as quick as I need.

After two weeks I called for update and this has not been done and was told to go back to my GP. I have done that before my latest re-injury but they said I am best waiting instead and being re-referred as it will take longer otherwise. PALS said there is a Health Centre that is private that operates from King George and there is a wait time 6 weeks and I should ask to go there rather than my GP.

I am in constant pain and on and off crutches for months mainly on never being able to walk without a limp. I feel greatly let down and neglected have tried everything it is having a major impact on my life and interfering with work as I had to be signed off for a month and also my personal life is now suffering. I am on Cocodamol 30/500 and been given 5 month repeat prescription and Naproxfen. I am worried as I have been told this can be a highly addictive drug and not a resolution. I asked the hospital to please advice me on where I can go to be heard and get help as it's really getting me down. I am 25 years old and have a very healthy lifestyle but now I can't go to the gym or complete day to day jobs. I am now feeling desperate :(
