" It was lovely that he took us into consideration"

(as a service user),

My wife is an amputee so we are completely reliant on the ambulance service to get us to the Bristol Royal Infirmary for physiotherapy treatment. The driver was absolutely brilliant – he called ahead to let us know he would be coming early so that we were ready when he arrived.

He needed to collect another patient who needed to go to Frenchay Hospital and on the way he received another call to pick up another patient. The driver checked with all of us that his revised plans to pick up the third patient would be OK for us and proceeded accordingly. It was lovely that he took us into consideration.

Words cannot express our gratitude for the service they provide, we’d be lost without it.

Dear Sniff783

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

It is nice to hear that our Patient Transport Staff are continuing to provide an excellent service to our patients ad their families when they need us most.

I would like to be able to pass your comments onto the member of staff who drove you and your wife to hospital. In order for me to do this I will require a little more information from you.

Could you please call me on 01392 453831 or email laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk, at your convenience, in order to find out who it was that came to you.

Thanks again for sharing your story.

Laura
