I wanted to compliment the ambulance crew who attended to my parents in August.
My father fell through a plate glass internal door and was impaled on glass when my mother called for an ambulance. They advised her to leave the doors to the house open and they ambulance crew would let themselves in.
My mother recalls that the ambulance arrived in about three minutes, the crew was fantastic.
They could see that my mother was in shock and that she also needed treatment, the crew obtained permission to also treat her and take her to hospital. Before the crew left the house they cleared as much of the broken glass as they could so that my mother would not injure herself.
On the way to the hospital the paramedics must have given my father excellent treatment as we feel that given his injuries and loss of blood he would not have survived without their care. Without their speed and efficiency my father would not be here now.
A big thank you to the ambulance crew for being there.
