"I was admitted to ward 5 in 2002 ..."

About: Wansbeck Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was admitted to ward 5 in 2002 with breast cancer.I could not have recieved better treatment anywhere. The nursing .and domestic staff were brilliant, they were so friendly and caring. I really felt that I mattered to them (not just another job to be ticked of the list)The ward was clean and the meals were 1st class.

What could be improved

The waste bin in the bathroom was not properly emptied

Please accept our apologies for the lateness of this reply; technical problems have removed any means of replying until now.

Thank you for your kind message. We are pleased to learn that all the staff provided you with care that was beyond your expectations during your admission. It is very reassuring for the staff to know that you had a positive experience, particularly in this current climate when there are negative messages from the media. We will feedback your comment to the domestic’s manager in relation to the emptying of bins.
