Anything else?

I had my 3rd major op on the 23rd Sept 2013 with both general surgery team and gynaecology team would like to say a big thank you to all the surgery staff you don't see. I was placed on the Allerton ward this staff have now looked after me on my 3 major ops and other stays i have had i am like a bad penny, lol But they are great all the staff on the Allerton ward are very caring if i asked for pain killer it was there and what i was on needed signing out by two Staff nurses and not once did i have to wait more then 30 mins . The wards are clean, and i had the most lovely staff nurses looking after me i know most of them well now like i said b4 they treat you with respect, one HCA makes you tea at 2 a.m or when ever you want one she will make you one. I was sent home but unlucky for me ended up being rushed back in by A&E thank you to the A&E doctors and nurses as well. So i think i was there for 10 days and i do hope this is my last time, but if i ever need to go in for more treatment i am very happy that it will be the Allerton ward once again,

Good afternoon Thank you for your feedback regarding the care and treatment you have recently received from the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. I am pleased to learn you have been well looked after during your visits to hospital and I shall certainly forward your kind words to the staff involved, who, I am sure will be very pleased to read them. It may interest you to know the trust runs a ‘Thank You Award’ scheme where NHS colleagues, patients and relatives can nominate staff in recognition of their work. These are presented throughout the year for acts above the call of duty or where staff have shown exceptional kindness towards patients and their relatives. Please contact the chairman’s office on 01642 854151 or email deborah.jenkins@stees.nhs.uk. Alternatively, you may wish to nominate online at www.southtees.nhs.uk/about/awards/ Many thanks again for your comments. With best wishes Mrs Linda Oliver Patient Experience Officer
