My daughter (Helen) went to A&E on Tuesday night (29thOctober) at 10pm with a threatened miscarriage. She was on holiday in Norfolk with her husband and 18month old baby. She came to hospital on her own as they did not want to take a toddler out of bed at that time of night. My daughter was examined and taken to the Surgical Assessment Unit, where she received excellent care and attention, she was very frightened and distressed especially as she was on her own. But the staff did everything possible to care for her. The next day, she had to have a operation... her options for treatment were explained in great detail at all times and she was constantly monitored, she had the operation in the afternoon and was able to go home later that evening. I had spent the day with her and was very impressed with staffing levels, facilities, and the treatment she received. The staff on SAU and Leverington Ward were wonderful, from the young lady with the tea trolley (who gave me a cup of tea even though I was just a visitor) right up to the Consultant . Many many thanks to all of you. We are very grateful. I know your hospital is having a difficult time at the moment but I want you to know we were completely satisfied with the treatment we received at QEH. Thank you
