About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Anything else?

My daughter who was 5 weeks pregnant was referred up to the gynaecology team for review after seeing GP with abdominal cramps. He had spoken to the team who had accepted her for review, written a letter of referral and had asked us to make our way to the A&E at Stoke Manderville Hospital. On arrival we spent over an hour waiting to see the triage nurse for her to just read the letter, phone the gynae doctor and ask us to go to the ward where the doctor was waiting to review my daughter. It strikes me that this hour wait to see the triage nurse was needless and the doctor could have been notified sooner and seen us sooner.
