"My first Rtc ambulance and a&e experience"

About: Royal Derby Hospital

Anything else?

I unfortunatly had my first accident and an ambulance was called. I couldn't breathe and was very frightened but the paramedics were fantastic, they explained everything to me and did all they could to put me at ease. When we arrived at the hospital they carried this on by explaining and reassuring my daughter who had arrived before me. They stayed with me until the doctor was free and I was then looked after by the a&e staff where I was given x ray and diagnosed with fractured sternum. They were reassuring and caring throughout. My first and hopefully last experience was brilliant, proffessional and compassionate, thank you.

Many thanks for your extremely kind comments regarding your recent visit to our hospital. It is always nice to receive such positive feedback and I will certainly be sharing this with all the appropriate staff, who I am sure will be most appreciative. Many thanks once again for taking the time to provide us with this information and may I take the opportunity to wish you my very best wishes for the future. Kind regards Miss Deborah Furness from the Royal Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Patient Experience team
