From first appointment after referral to entering hospital for surgery was four weeks, this including consultations, biopsy, scans, xrays, pre op assessment, all of which I consider to be an excellent service of which the Trust should be extremely proud. From admission into N.M.G.H. on 09 09 13 (operation on 10 09 13) all the staff I came into contact with treated me in a most professional manner and with extreme courtesy at all times, showing great care and consideration for my wellbeing both before and after the operation and continuing throughout my stay in hospital. I feel it almost a duty to inform you that the whole team working conducted operations almost seamlessly, both at Rochdale Infirmary and at N.M.G.H. and do you great credit. Further, it may seem unnecessary to select individual members of staff for praise but I feel at this time I certainly must. Therefore staff in High Dependency Unit; Charge nurse and Staff nurse for when I felt most vulnerable and in greatest need for "just doing our job". Their constant care, kindness and skilled professionalism will live with me for a long time. In ward G5 particularly in the first few days Post Op, the same care and kindness was also shown to me by the following members of staff. The sister who's care and nursing skill throughout my stay was of the highest devotion and who was first to encourage me back onto my feet! The nurse who both confirmed and continued my care at night, and finally a sister who ensured the whole ward ran with clockwork efficiency yet always had time for aword of quiet encouragement. In conclusion I hope you will find a way to pass on my gratitude to the above staff and their collegues for the wonderful work they do.
