Following a diagnosis of breast cancer, I was unsurprisingly shocked and terrified at what lay ahead of me. My journey is not quite over yet, but so far have visited and met drs, surgeons, nurses and receptionists in ; the breast institute, day surgery, critical care, genetic councilling, oncology and the chemotherapy unit. I can honestly say I have been treated exceptionally by each member of staff. These people have shown patience and have helped me overcome many fears and obstacles. Cannot thank them enough.
