What I liked
I walked into the surgical day unit at James Cook Hospital to have my tonsils taken out over a week ago, I was met by happy nurses who saw that I was a quivering wreck, they sat me down and calmed me down telling me every second what was happening (I am 27) I have a massive fear of needles so that was quickly addressed. After my op every couple of minutes I was asked how my pain was, was I comftable, the list went on. Time came for the nurses to swap shifts and in came the 2 night nurses, who where angels, before the team left for they night they told both nurses who the patients where, how we where, and like me how scared I was. The hospital was so clean I could have ate off the floor, it was an amazing experiance and I am glad I had my first and hopefully last operation at James Cook Hospital.
