"Worried about staffing levels"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / Clinical oncology

(as a relative),

My brother has just had a 14 hour operation for oral cancer.

After spending days in the high dependency unit, he was moved on to a 36 bed ward. He fell out of bed on his first night on the ward, after he had buzzed for a nurse and no one came. He tried to get himself to the toilet and this is when he fell, as he can't talk at the moment. This really scares me as he is so vulnerable.

Over the weekend, there were 2 nurses and 2 health care assistants on duty on the ward for 36 poorly people. In my opinion this ward was seemingly not safe to operate at this staffing level.
