"Didn't want to go home - had to be virtually thrown out! "

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Ward 19 - Five star.

Ward 20 - Massively overworked. It made me feel "bolshie". The staff were brilliant. In general, the staff were great - system gap (speaking as an ex top systems analyst).

Didn't want to go home - had to be virtually thrown out!

Toilets should be kept clean throughout the 24 hours.

Thank you for your comments, its not often patients don't want to go home! We are obviously pleased everything went so well on ward 19, and whilst delighted the staff on ward 20 were brilliant, we are dissappointed that you felt there was a systems gap, although we're not clear in what way. We are also concerned about your comment relating to the toilets, we assume that you didn't feel they always were kept clean. If you feel you want to provide further details on your concerns, I.e. the toilets and the systems gap, please do contact our Patient Advice and Complaints team on either 0800 013 0018 or by email to patientadvice@cht.nhs.uk to enable us to raise these issues with the relevant departments.
