"5 Star Care at Western General"

I've just found out about this Patient Opinion page and want to use it to express my thanks to all the staff at the Western General minor injuries clinic for their excellent care one Saturday in late September.

I arrived with anaphylactic shock after a bee sting to my eyelid. From the receptionist who immediately whisked me through for treatment, to the reassuring medical staff, and the nursing assistants who later brought tea and biscuits, everyone played their part in my recovery. I've had less impressive service in 5 star hotels.

The medics had me wired up to a drip, a nebuliser and monitors in moments. Everyone in the team reassured me and made me feel as comfortable as possible during what was a frightening and unpleasant episode. Aftercare advice was helpful and follow up communication with me GP worked efficiently.

I can't thank you kind, reassuring, professional and highly skilled people enough. I know how lucky I am to have access to this quality of care. NHS at it's best.
