"We could not praise the staff or doctors enough. "

About: East Surrey Hospital / Oncology

(as a relative),

My mother was taken in to A & E on 2nd October 2013. The doctors and nurses were absolutely wonderful. She was moved to the Acute Medical Ward and after various tests it was discovered she had terminal cancer. Again the staff were faultless in their care of both my mother and my sister and I.

She was then moved to Tandridge Ward where she stayed until she died in mid October. We could not praise the staff or doctors enough. We were very fortunate that my mother was looked after so well by everyone. Special thanks to Louise, Eli, Krit Jason and Sister Dawn. Dr Cetti and his team who were so caring and broke the news to us very gently and supported us through a very difficult time.

Also many thanks to Julie and the Palliative Team who again were faultless and helped us so much.

My sister and I feel that despite such a harrowing and difficult time we are grateful that my mother was admitted to East Surrey and Sussex hospital and we both want to thank all involved.

Dear Ellie6

Thank you for taking the time to post such a positive account of your recent experience at East Surrey Hospital. I'm very pleased that we were able to make such a difficult time more bearable and that a wide range of staff played a significant role in providing the high level of care that you describe.

I will ensure that your words are shared with the colleagues you mention and I'm sure that your kind words will mean a great deal to them.

Regards

Ian

Dear Ian

Thank you for replying to my post. I forgot to mention one very important person. Lee from Tandridge Ward. He was not only wonderful with my sister and I but also brought a tremendous smile to my mother's face when she saw him. If you can and I know you will be very busy but would really appreciate it if you could tell him how much he meant to us.
