What could be improved

My 80 year old mother attended arrowe park hospital after a fall that injured her face and broke her hand.

We were at the hospital from 2pm until she left of her own volition 6 1/2 hours later! She was offered no food or refreshments until I had to take her outside for a sandwich after 6hours.she had been without food for 24 hours was suffering from a severe headache. After 6 1/2 hours she had just had enough understaffed or underresourced whatever! This treatment of an old lady is unacceptable. The trust seems more interested in appearances than patients. Every staff menber in a uniform of a different hue, wallcharts to explain the colours?! the money would have been better spent on more staff to look after the patients!
