"key worker"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

Anything else?

Thank you for the care I was given during my operation and 36 hour stay in North Tyneside hospital. My only concern was the huge number of staff involved in my stay. Being frightened, lonely and vulnerable it would have been easier to handle if I had had a key worker instead of between 20 and 30 different faces; albeit lovely people, very kind and helpful, but no continuity. I do understand that there is day staff, night staff and weekend staff, but even 2 'key workers' would have been an improvement on no continuity at all. Ward 8 Thanks again

Dear Linda,

Many thanks for getting in touch and allowing us to learn about your recent experience of orthopaedic care on ward 8 at North Tyneside. The team will be delighted to know how much you appreciated their kind and helpful behaviour but your points about continuity of care are very well made. I will forward your note directly to the team and see how we can learn and improve from this.

With many thanks and all best wishes for your recovery at home,

Annie
