On Sunday morning, October 20th, I had to go into A & E with some highly unpleasant repercussions after a hernia operation on the Friday. I want to place on record my thanks to all the A & E staff who treated me, but especially to the doctor who treated me throughout the day until I was safely moved onto a ward to recover. She displayed amazing levels of sympathy, calmness and professionalism which I found most re-assuring, and I wish her well for the future.
