I was referred to St James's hospital in Leeds by my optician through my GP for a sight problem. On the day, I was cursorily examined (with no proper sight test), treated for the wrong complaint and not treated for the right one.
When I complained, I was fobbed off by the medical staff with self-justifying excuses and subsequently written to in a way that I felt was patronising and self satisfied by the Chief Executive. I no longer feel secure in using that hospital.
