"Never would I take my child to this so called..."

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Anything else?

My son had a bright red blotchy rash over his stomach, while we were waiting to be seen by a doctor, it got worse, legs, arms and face covered, after 4hours we see a doctor and he said my son will have to stay in and have bloods taken, 20min later came back and said there ain't any beds we have to go. Only 1 doctor working in the children's department and was clearly under pressure, so i'm now going to Broomfield hospital so i can get my son checked and cared for. Queens hospital is a disgrace!!!

I’m so sorry that you had delays in our Accident and Emergency Department. Unfortunately it can get extremely busy, and we ensure that people are seen in order of clinical need. We know that can lead to frustrating waits, and we are working hard to try and improve the situation. I do hope your son has made a full recovery. I am concerned to hear about your experience and would urge you to get in touch with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service. You can contact PALS on 01708 435454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk Yours sincerely, Dr Mike Gill Medical Director
