I have experience of A&E, Rheumatology & Dermatology at this hospital. I have nothing but praise for the dedication of the staff who show utmost professionalism in the face of huge workloads, long hours, endless moaning from patients etc. I know that I couldn't do what they do. The work of the medical staff is exemplary. God knows how they keep going with the hours they work - with - it seems - such little appreciation for the work that they do. I have had terrific experiences at this hospital. It seems to me that people nowadays have grossly overblown expectations of what the NHS can and should provide for them. It's a publicly funded shared service. It's not always all about you and other peoples needs may be more pressing. The dermatology department is absolutely fantastic - consultants are spectacular - kind, thoughtful, extremely professional. I was seen about my melanoma within days of referral. I then saw plastic surgeons - again terrific and the Professor (absolute sweetie). I am also under the care of Rheumatology at this hospital - the consultants and nurse practitioners are just amazing. Thoroughly delightful team - and the two nurse practitioners are so sweet and helpful. I really feel fortunate to be looked after by such a good bunch of people and really appreciate what they do for patients - with such good grace. I am simply appalled about the trivia on this site. Is there really nothing too trivial to complain about?
