Just over two years ago I was discharge from hospital after being for over a week with my COPD.

I was referred to the matron in the community service and since then I have had monthly visits and more if I need them from my local matron in the community. In that time she has managed to help me control my condition and reduce the number of times that I need to go to A&E because of suffering from exacerbations.

The matron that visits me is very good and listens to what I have to say and gives me the back up that I need and she is only a phone call away.
