"Visit to A&E"

About: Montagu Hospital

Anything else?

After falling about 7 foot while on a ladder at work, and landing awkwardly on the rungs , my place of work took me straight to the hospital to get checked out. I waited about 20 mins till it opened at 9am. When I was seen my husband was told to wait in the waiting room. I was asked what had happened and I explained. The nurse took a quick look at me then said it was only soft tissue damage and said why had I come! Also just take paracetamol. As I left I couldn't believe what she had said. She never asked if I had hit my head, been unconscious, felt dizzy or landed on my back. I also wasn't checked to see if I was in shock. It's now 4 days later and I have extremely large bruises all over my body and still have trouble using my left arm. She made me feel like I had wasted her time. I hope I don't need to visit again.
