"Ridiculous system. Thoroughly annoyed!"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

My appointment was for a 5 month old baby - and I was told by my GP that it was an urgent referral.

When I received the phone call to book the appointment, the earliest date I was offered was in 7 weeks time!

This is the equivalent of asking a 60 year old to wait 15 years for their appointment! !

Ridiculous system. Thoroughly annoyed!

Thank you for your feedback.

I am sorry that TRAQS was unable to offer you an earlier appointment for your baby. Our aim is to offer patients an acceptable appointment at a time and location of your preferred choice. However, this sometimes is not possible, as TRAQS does not have control of the available appointments at local hospitals. It may well have been possible to secure at an appointment at an alternative hospital but it is not clear from your comments such option was offered to you.

I do understand your concerns, especially at such a worrying time, however I hope that when you attend your child's appointment your concerns are addressed and any necessary treatment is completed promptly.
