"Waiting times for booked appointments"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Anything else?

Had an appointment with a consultant today at 10am organised last week. I had to wait one and a half hours and saw the consultant at 11.30. I can understand waiting for emergency appointments but since these are known in advance I cannot understand why they are not managed properly so that patients see consultants near the time stated. Some people waited 2 hours. This means car park fees are more, other essential meetings are disrupted. Its totally unacceptable

Thank you for leaving this comment, and I do apologise for the delay in your appointment. I appreciate how very frustrating this must have been. As you say, it is unacceptable. Unfortunately there are times when consultants may have been delayed on ward rounds or on emergency clinical issues, but this should at least have been properly explained to you. I will take your feedback to our urology and outpatient teams. Yours sincerely, Dr Mike Gill Medical Director
