"Stroke Services for my mother"

My mother was admitted with a stroke unfortunately, but the consultant with his expertise and knowledge promptly made safe and effective decisions which consequently meant that my mother is still with us today. Thank you to all the staff involved and a credit to all the doctors especially the consultants who work under tight pressure from the managers in the NHS. This needs to be looked into so that all patients are treated with the care from doctors and nurses who are so highly trained.

Dear Martha

Thank you for your post. I am sorry your mother was taken ill but very pleased to hear that she has received good care and attention in Good Hope Hospital. Our consultants are hard working and often under considerable pressure, as you say. I hope it isn't pressure from managers though! We work together as a team to manage the often considerable emergency pressure on the hospital, and our managers work very hard too alongside our medical and nursing staff.

I trust your mother continues to make a good recovery from her stroke
