Very bad review first followed by great review (last but not least) of a recent visit to the Whittington which was truly in contrast to my expectations. I have, in the past had horrendous experience at Whittington A&E, since i have epilepsy lve been there a lot. Big contrast last visit..... My recent visit to trauma and orthopaedics outpatients was excellant. I was a bit confused over how to get to the department (signs were good its just me!). Every single person l asked for directions or help finding facilities went out of their way to help. They were caring, upbeat and professional. From the moment l entered the actual hospital, again staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean, it wasnt depressing and l was impressed. The two gentlemen on trauma & orthopaedics reception (outpatients) that checked me in for my appointment were ace. I mean, so professional, put me at ease, they had really accomodated me timewise as l hadnt received my appoitment letter (post problems). Nothing was too much trouble. The consultant again was absolutely superb. I felt confident in his care and he explained things brilliantly.
