"How can a nurse seemed to know more than the..."

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

Anything else?

I visited The hospital on 30thAugust after an accident early morning to my leg, I had a nasty gash of approximately 8-9inches long, with the fatty tissue having come on top of the skin. I have to admit I was treated quite quickly .The Doctor who was assigned to me really did not know what to do and went for advice from another Doctor who came and told him what to do. I still think he was not competent to deal with this injury alone, in fact the nurse who was assisting him was advising him and couldn't wait for him to leave. This nurse was left to attach 30+ steri strips. All Doctors in A & E should be competent to deal with all injuries and if not they should be supervised. It is now 6 weeks down the line and I have had an infection in the wound where it opened it up, I was actually on holiday when this happened and had to go to a Greek hospital where they stated that they couldn't understand why such a deep would was never stitched. There was no waiting and was seen straight away,
