After giving two very positive reviews about Leighton Hospital in the past few months, my husband and I were very disappointed with the lack of respect, unprofessionalism and patronising manner of the Consultant in this department. He lacked in empathy and upset me so much with his manner that I was close to tears and my husband was not impressed. The Consultant referred my husband to Fazakarley Hospital in Liverpool for surgery and we were so glad that was the case as he did not give us any encouragement whatsoever. The same nurse was present on both occasions we visited him. She was very polite and courteous as were all the other members of staff in the department except for this one Consultant. Even when he discharged my husband he still displayed a lack of empathy and respect due to his impersonal and abrupt manner giving the impression he should not have been working at this hospital!!
