"I was transferred to Wythenshawe ..."

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was transferred to Wythenshawe from MRI to be operated on by the breast surgeons. The standard of care I received by the medical team and the nurses was excellent throughout my stay. I really couldn't fault the standard of care. The ward was also clean and the auxillary staff were very friendly. The NHS gets slated so often but I am very grateful to the team at Wythenshawe for treating me so quickly and effectively.

What could be improved

The washroom facilities were outdated and there was a large crack in the wash basin which wasn't too good. There seemed to be a shortage of porters so I had to wait in the recovery room after my op for quite a while - in the end two nurses wheeled my bed back to the ward.

Thank you very much for your positive comments. I am sorry that you experienced some delays whilst in recovery but glad that the nurses were able to respond to this issue at the time. I am unsure which particular sink was damaged as it is not referenced. However, I do hope that this has been identified in routine maintenance checks.
