Anything else?
Having been a reasonably healthy individual up to now. I haven't had much experience with the NHS or hospitals. But after a recent breast cancer diagnosis. I have experienced lots of tests, procedures and surgery. I was terrified when I first arrived at the breast services reception desk. Little dd I know how much my life was about to change. The receptionists were lovely. Each time I have been in they have welcomed me with a smile. The surgeon I saw put me at ease immediately. She talked me through everything and gave me time to ask anything I needed to know. I was very pleased with the surgical outcome of my lumpectomy. Then there's the support and advice given by the breast care nurses. The whole experience has been amazing. Being told I had Cancer was a nightmare, but with the care and support of all these people. I have been relaxed and treated with respect throughout my journey so far. I hope I will find the same great staff and support, as I move on to the next step on my journey, the oncology staff. Thankyou to all the staff but a special thanks to the doctor and her team. Also to another member of staff who not only explains things so well. But also makes me smile.
"What wonderful care, Thank you!"
