Busy but efficient.The doctors do what they have to do but nothing extra.There are no words of advice or help that might be available.They donot refer to therapists altermaticly and suggest hearing tests regularly.They seem to know nothing about Lip Reading classes so donot promote them in any way.The last audiologist I saw sorted my hearing aid out with out speaking or smiling.Infact their was no conversation or interaction and certainly no customer service.Audiologist also donot promote Lip Reading or any of the staff and there are no leaflets available or adverts on the noice board.These lessons are a very,important follow up for deaf people who are in a way isolated. I think the staff and doctors in ENT should have some training in how deafness affects conversation and help to promote Lip Reading.One in six people are hard of hearing or deaf and this will increase as the young today get older.
