Having not been able to get intouch to book a X-ray appointment many weeks had passed since my GP issued the X-ray form to me, as I continue to have problems I eventually rang minor injuries in Beverley who told me to pop in to get my X-ray done as I was still having problems. What a waste of my time, having left work early, I was informed when I got there that despite still having problems as described by my GP on the form due to it being 9 weeks since my accident I needed to go back to my GP to have a reassessment and then come back for an X-ray- so two more appointments before I will have my X-ray done. I work in the health sector and am appalled that patients are sent round in circles from one appointment to another, something in our busy lives we can not afford to do. I am pleased to say my organisation would not treat patients this way! Additionally I am a nurse so give me some credit for being able to assess my own wellbeing needs, that's all I will be reiterating to my GP after all.
