"The whole medical team were great. The staff on the ward were fantastic."

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with fibroids so was admitted for a vaginal hysterectomy. This being my first ever operation I was feeling more than a bit nervous. I was admitted at 12.00pm, was taken down to theatre at 2.30pm and the next thing I knew I was back on the ward 4.30pm.

The whole medical team were great. Mr Chia was fantastic and put me at great ease and explained the whole procedure beforehand.

The staff on the ward were fantastic, always smiling and cheerful, and to top it all, one of the nursing staff was an old friend of mine who I had not seen for 30yrs, so was well chuffed.

Thanks to all on M1 Ward

It is understandable that you were nervous but we are so pleased that your experience was a good one... with the bonus of seeing your old friend! Many thanks for sharing these comments.
