I went to Leighton hospital for an appointment at the orthapeadic clinic. I reported to the reception desk and the lady told me to take a seat. So I sat down and waited patiently for my turn. However after two and a half hours I asked the gentleman at the desk how much longer I would be kept waiting (I'd been there that long the previous nurse/receptionist had gone home) so he walked of to see what was happening, he then came back to inform me that my notes and appointment letter had gone missing and all the doctors had gone home!! I wasted petrol money and parking money for nothing. And now to top it of I have to try and arrange another appointment. I have to ring them!, and more than likely have to wait another few months. Overall it was a very frustrating and upsetting day, I'm certainly not looking forward to going back!

I am very sorry to hear of your experience in the Orthopaedic clinic and I offer you a sincere apology for the distress and inconvenience this has caused you. We usually monitor patient flow within clinics very effectively but I will ensure that the system in place in the Orthopaedic Clinic is reviewed to avoid this happening to another patient.
