About: Hull Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

my wife has just been discharged following a 5 week stay following a serious RTC and taken y air ambulance to HRI. It was our first experience of HRI as we are from Nottinghamshire where we have nice new hospitals and rubbish care. I must admit when I approached the HRI my heart sank as it looked very run down but wow what a surprize, all the staff I met really went the extra mile to ensure all my wifes needs were met. The consultants and theatre staff had late nights operating but still found time to see me and explain fully what was going on. Nurses would ensure she got what food she fancied to encourage her to eat. Even the cleaners found time to chat and keep her positive. I feel this hospital has the best team of staff I have ever encountered and urge the board of directors to ensure this team get looked after and supported in very way possible in these difficult times. The staff here really are an excellent team. John
