I am from Sheffield and just had to tell people about my brilliant experiences with Home Instead Senior Care. The HISC took over from a previous home care agency a little while ago now.
Through my personal budget, as a self directed support (SDS) service user with Sheffield City Council, I got to choose my agency by interviewing the staff of Home Instead Senior Care. Now that was great but was even more impressed when they then made sure I got to interview and get introduced to care staff who would be my nominated carers. This also includes an introduction to any new carers that may be introduced to me when my usual carers are on holidays and/or staff sickness.
It is quite recent when I swapped agencies and my current agency now come and see me every three months to discuss how things are going – I really think they are wonderful. They also produce a newsletter every month which even has got some really interesting content in terms of developments for the agency or different things that might I might be interested in as a disabled person.
