About: Heartlands Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

Arrived Birmingham Heartlands this morning with 86 year old patient complaining of chest pains and difficulty in breathing.

Now, nearly 2 hours later (and the phenomenal car park expenses) we haven't seen or spoke to a sole regarding our visit....

On the other hand if I'd of calked 999 I would have had an 8 minute response a crew who would be polite and professional. , my father would have had an ecg perhaps an adprin, gtn and some o2 if required and all within 10 minutes. Then chauffeured to the ae department and then no doubt left to whatever staff are here! My point is simply this... if all this can be achieved on my home visit to the door step within minutes... why does it take hours here at Heartlands when all the hard work has been done for you! Just treatment needed! !
