"Good care for knee replacement"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

The ward at Tameside General Hospital that replaces knees is called the Elective Unit and the whole team are a fantastic group of people that work very hard.

My thanks goes out to them all after 5 nights with them last week. They made my stay as comfortable as possible considering they replaced my knee. The surgeons, Mr Barri and Mr Shetty and Haley the cleaner and all the rest of the crowd are stars.

They are understaffed and overworked and particularly the qualified nurses work flat-out all the time. Thanks to all of them!

— feeling happy.
