What I liked

I had PIP joint fusion surgery on my ring and little fingers on my left hand on 16th June 2008 at Wrightington under the care of the consultant and I was extremely pleased with every aspect of my care. I have been in several hospitals in the area over the past 8 n half years and this one has so far been the friendliest, all the staff I met at oupatient appointments and during my brief stay were very helpful and polite, ever member of hospital staff I encountered greeted me with a smile. I was made to feel at ease and confident in the care I received.

What could be improved

My letter said I had to be there at 7am on my admission date but on phoning the hospital I was told day cases don't need to come in till 8am and the letter was just standard. It would be better to give the right time especially for those coming in by hospital transport which I was told doesn't start picking up patients till 7am.
