I was admitted to the day surgery unit for a gastroscopy on 3rd October, a procedure I was extremely anxious about. By far the loveliest team I have ever been treated by. The nurses on the unit and the consultant who performed the procedure were very friendly, reassuring and understanding. If I did ever have to have the procedure again I would hope it could be at Kingston and would be far less nervous about it. The unit itself was immaculately clean and pleasant, but it was by far the staff that made it a much less frightening and positive experience, they were fantastic. Please do pass on my thanks. My only suggestion would be to move the machine with 'ice cold drinks' in large letters on away from the waiting area where people who've been nil by mouth all day have to look at it!
