"My first ever stay in Hospital."

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus

Anything else?

After attended day clinic for stents to help relieve angina it was found I needed bypass surgery which ended up with me in Morris Ward , Nottingham City Hospital on Sunday 15th September 2013 3pm admission , From 1st reception desk to being shown to my bed all nerves and worries questions and fears where dealt with by some lovely caring staff ( more like best friends actualy ) . My week started with a full body shave well after that there are no embarrassing moments left even tho personal dignity is always maintained, then all the way thru from being taken up for triple bypass surgery 8am Monday 16th to coming home on Sunday 22nd the staff where always there for help advise and support and it didn't matter wether it was 2 am or 2pm or any time inbetween it was always a happy smiling face greeting you and i'm certain and sure that myself and other patients didn't always deserver such courtesy today is the 29th Sept and the end of my first week at home and my second week since surgery pain killers are still playing a major part in my life along with numbness and discomfort around my rib cage area as yet I haven't needed the help of the ward staff but i'm so looking forward to going in soon ( when i'm allowed ) to thank so many people for the love , care and respect shown to both myself and all of my family........... love and peace to all staff and patience x x x
