Anything else?
My dad was admitted to A and E on Wednesday 25th September at 5pm and told he needed to be seen urgently by the cardiology team, at 9:45pm he was moved to a side room in CDU at 00:15 he was seen briefly by a very junior doctor. at 3 am he was moved to the main bay of CDU and at 1pm on Thursday he was moved to EMU, he had still not been seen by any one from cardiology even though by this time the doctor had said he was an urgent case. The satff on EMU were very good and at 3:15pm on Friday 27th he was told he was moving to another ward where he would be seen by a cardiologist and told what was going on. We waited until 5:25pm for a porter to arrive and when we got there we were told that the doctors had left 10 minutes earlier and he would have to wait till Monday. during his time in the hospital my dad has been on a heart monitor that has continously read extreme Bradycardia and yet no one has bothered to come and speak to us or him about his condition, treatment or prognosis. I as his daughter am furious, the communication is non-existent the doctors are unavailable and everyone seems to contradict themselves it is no wonder it is a failing hospital my dad would have been better off in the neighbouring car dealership for the amount of care and consideration he has recieved.
