About: Princess Royal Hospital (Haywards Heath)

Anything else?

My 16 yr old son visited the a and e for a suspected broken rib. I work in a school and was unable to go with him but called the a and e to see how he was. Whilst I appreciate the staff are busy, I was unaware my mother had also called to see how he was. The staff nurse was incredibly rude and told me that really there only needed to be one point of contact. Of course this is true but I did not know there had already been a call. And to be frank, if they're that busy then either don't answer the call, or if you do, at least have the courtesy to undertsand the perosn calling deserves to be treated with respect, no matter how busy or rushed off your feet you are! Patients are expected to behave with respect - so should the staff.
