I made several unsuccessful telephone appointments with Clare House doctors, before I realised that my recent installation of a CPR callblocker on my home telephone, to reduce the frequency of unsolicited phone calls, was the cause of the problem.. This gadget can be set to reject any call made from a line where the number is withheld, which includes calls from Clare House doctors! So it would be useful to inform patients making telephone doctor's appointments, that they should not have a call blocker activated to block withheld number calls. This feature can be cancelled quite readily and reinstated a a later date if so desired.
