"Maternity Department at Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone."

I just wanted to let you know, I was so pleased with my care at Whipps Cross Hospital that I wrote the below letter to my Local Guardian Newspaper.

Dear Tim

I have felt compelled to write a letter to my local Wanstead and Woodford Guardian to sing the praises of the Maternity Department and all the Midwives at Whipps Cross Hospital.

On the 1st September I went in to have my first baby. I was more than a bit apprehensive due to it’s recent bad press which added to the the obvious fears of any new mum to be.

I had a excellent care from Whipps throughout my pregnancy.

My labour got a bit complicated but all the midwives who looked after me in the Lilac Centre, Labour Ward and Mulberry Ward were outstanding and highly professional.

I had to stay in for 3 day to recover from my emergency caesarean. In this time I was under the care of numerous midwives who were really supportive and helped me grasp breastfeeding. They made my whole experience as pain free as possible.

People only seem to write letters of complaint for bad service or experiences. I hope you will publish this letter, if nothing else, but to restore peoples faith in the hard working caring majority of staff at our local Hospital.
