What I liked

Admitted via A&E to F7 and onto F10 . Doctors , nurses very professional and caring .House keepers friendly and helpfull.Food was good but small portions.

What could be improved

smoking should be stopped especially at entrance as directly above is F7 .Smoke rises and although I was very hot due to chest infection, had to shut windows while in F7 due to cigarette smoke rising and entering the ward. Not nice when you have a chest problem.

Also when waiting for a taxi to take me home after discharge nurse had to move my wheelchair to try to avoid smoke from smokers at enterance.

WHEN IS THE ROYAL OLDHAM HOSPITAL GOING TO BE A FULLY NONE SMOKING SITE ?????

Thank you for the comments. We have many signs up making clear that our sites are non-smoking, and our staff do challenge smokers - if you have any problems then please raise them at the time.
