"Crisis team"

About: The Bradgate Mental Health Unit

Anything else?

Had the most horrific care from them and I am not alone, it is not working, whilst I realise that the government are cutting beds it does not excuse the coldness and callousness of some members of the crisis team. I was " discharged" without any after care even though I had told them that I still felt unwell and needed their support. I have complained as I am so scared that if I need them again that my experience will be the same. They cannot keep blaming the government for cutting beds as it doesn't excuse their unprofessional behaviour. Who ever thought that care in the home especially when you live alone would work needs to monitor very closely this decision. They need to realise that this is my life that are playing with. A disgrace, an absolute disgrace. Would like to finish with " there for the grace of god goes anyone of us" please treat people as you would want your loved ones to be treated

We are sorry that you feel distressed and unhappy about your care. What you have described is not what we would expect from our staff. We know how much difference a single member of staff can make to any patient's experience of our care, and to their recovery. That's why we are working with staff and patients on a major project that will help us identify what we can do more of and where we need to make changes. These will be used to develop our "patient promises" - benchmarks of behaviour which staff will be accountable for. It’s not possible for us to investigate and address your specific concerns without more information from you. While we can appreciate you feel the need to comment anonymously, we would urge you to get in touch with our trained customer service staff, if you haven't done so already, so that we can address all of your concerns specifically and in confidence. You can contact them by phone between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday on 0116 295 0830 or 0831, email them at customerservices@leicspart.nhs.uk, write to them at Freepost RSUL-LSXC-AGJU, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, Customer Services Team, Lakeside House, 4 Smith Way, Grove Park, Enderby, Leicester, LE19 1SX or contact them via the online form on our website www.leicspart.nhs.uk (Under Contact Us).
